Memorial Day 2008

Since it was raining outside Charley, Tate and Abbie decided to take a warm bath instead of swimming in the pool.

They had fun pouring water on eachothers head and splashing water all over the place!
"Tate you are so gorgeous!"

"I love my twin cousin Tate!"

"I kissed Tate!!!"

A Day at the Hogle Zoo!

While at the zoo I think the kids liked the African animals the best! They loved the tiger so much that they decided to go for a ride! When we saw the Cheetah it was pacing back and forth right against the safety glass. The kids were right next to the glass and the Cheetah kept stoppig and snarling at them. Thank goodness for safety glass!

Today at the Hogle Zoo it was so hot! It is the middle of May and it was 92 degrees!

While Sarah, Tate, Jamie, Charley, Anna. Mitchell, Austin and Abbie rode the train mom watched Lincoln, Sally and Sadie! Thank you mom!

The first thing we did at the zoo was go for a train ride. Tate did not like it very much! Sarah was so cute and reassuring with him.

Mitchell and Austin are so protective of Abbie! We had to end our trip to the zoo short since Sally was having an allergic reaction to something and was not feeling very good. So we are excited to go again and see the rest of the animals and the ones that were sleeping!

Social Leadership Ball

So tonight is the 'Puttin' on the Ritz' Social Leadership Ball for my school. I'm kind of excited and kind of not. Well for one, Alex won't be there because he's in 9th grade and it's only 7/8th grade. The next because one of the creepy teachers will be there and I really don't like him--he's kind of a dweeb. Yea--a dweeb. And scary. Yea. Well, I'll post tomorrow what happened there. Ok. Yea so look for it on my blog or here. Ok I'm done. Bye!

Happy Mother's Day!

My mom with Sadie (Yes, Sadie. Not Sally.)
My mom is beautiful. As I celebrate Mother's Day today (we all have the flu, by the way) I find myself close to tears as I think about my own mother. She is the most kind-hearted person and is happy to do anything for anyone in need. She is my best friend. My mom is my greatest mentor and I want to be just like her.

My mom and I have such a special relationship. She tried and tried to have another baby after Anna and Rachel were born and was told that she would not be able to conceive again. After ten long years and a tough road of miscarriages and surgeries, she had a dream that she was rocking a baby to sleep and the room was pink. I was then born, her "surprise package". Because I was so much younger than my siblings, I was raised differently than they were as they all moved out of the house when I was young. My mom always made sure that I was kept busy and entertained at a young age.

When we moved to Vegas, my mom and I spent a lot of time alone while my dad was busy at interviews. Late nights watching What About Bob?, checking out all the fun restaurants in Vegas, shopping, hiking, walks and riding the roller coasters on the strip. I admire so much that she was willing to do whatever I wanted. I don't think that I would have been as patient as she was with me!

My mom is a fantastic nurse. She has cared for me countless times through my four shoulder surgeries and more. Because I could not get in the shower for weeks after surgery, she would have my lie on my bed on my back and wash my hair in a basin every single day. She is the most caring person I know.

When Tate was born he was extremely colicky and it became very difficult for me emotionally being my first child. She invited me to sleep at her house for a week so that she could walk with a screaming baby in the night while I pumped milk for him. She is extremely patient.
It is nearly impossible to put into word how grateful I am for my mother. She is my life saver in every way. She calls me every single day asking how I am if there is anything that she can do to help me. She is constantly suprising me at the door with groceries, helping me catch up on loads of laundry, taking Tate for the day, tending so that I can get out of the house, and so much more.
I love you, mom! You are the mom I want to be!
Love, Sarah

Jonathan Browning Family

Hey Family,

I am finally blogging!

Things are great for the Browning family! The boys are so excited to have gotten into ALPS next year, but are nervous to go to another school. At least they will be going together! Finally their needs will hopefully be met.

Jonathans birthday is coming up and guess what...Rachel finally gave in and decided to buy him a gun. It will be a fun hobby for Jonathan and the boys to share. He is loving Highland Seminary as principal.

Rachel is still busy with Sarah making embellished clippies and headbands for girls. Our website is http://www.sallysclippies.blogspot.com/ Life is good!

McKay is loving piano and scouts. Baseball is a blast! He got a triple with 2 rbis and a homerun with 1 rbi.

Hunter is a character! I swear he and Sydney should have been twins! Hunter loves baseball and signed up so at the end of the game he could get a ticket to get a treat from the snack bar!

Sydney is a hoot! She is a tom boy in a princess dress! She is loving preschool and hates going to bed. She is so afraid that she is going to miss out on something. She'll walk out of her room and say, "Here I am Mom!"

We love you all and can't wait to see you soon!

Hi There!

Hey Family:

We're now officially on the blog. I've added a photo of the family at Disneyland from last year. We had a blast. Now, if this weather would change from February weather to May weather, we could get out and do some more outdoor stuff!

Thanks, Suz, for putting this together.
